Terms of Service

The agreement between Kete and the businesses (such as salons) that use Kete to sign in their guests.

1. The service

Kete gives your business a guest sign-in page, optional ID scanning to fill in guest details, a visitor log, a price list and a staff console. "You" means the business that creates a Kete account and the people it lets use it.

2. Your account

3. Your guests' information

Guest details collected through your Kete pages (for example names, ID numbers and phone numbers) belong to your business. You decide why they are collected and how long they are kept. Kete stores and processes them only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having a lawful reason to collect your guests' information, for telling guests how it is used (your sign-in page includes a notice and a consent checkbox), and for answering guests' requests to see, correct or delete their information. We will help you do this.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use Kete to break the law, to collect information about people without a proper reason, to upload anything harmful, or to try to access other businesses' data, overload the service or get around its security limits.

5. Free trial, payment and refunds

New accounts start with a 30-day free trial. After the trial, continued use requires a paid plan. Payments are covered by our Refund Policy.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep Kete running and your data safe, but we do not promise the service will always be available or error-free, especially while Kete is in its early pilot. We may improve or change features; if a change significantly affects you, we will tell you in advance.

7. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Kete at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where reasonable. When an account closes, you can ask us for a copy of your visitor log within 30 days; after that we delete it.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Kete is not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell account owners by email before they take effect.
